I am on 100mg of levothyroxine and have increasing muscle pain in both arms. Does anyone else experience this and if so how did they get a remedy to improve it?

Muscle pain
How are your results looking - TSH FT4 FT3 etc. Are they optimal ? Also the following - B12 - VitD - Ferritin - Folate - Iron....
Do you have any gut issues ? Do you have Hashimotos ? Sorry lots of questions but it is difficult to help with so little information....
Hi Lou
As Marz says, more info is needed but for me personally, the majority of my muscle and bone pain stopped when my vitamin D was at a good level. Although that said, my iron levels were good too after being very low. Pop your results up and someone may be able to help x
I'm experiencing the same having been on 100mcg for a little over a week. I have Hashi's. How long have you been taking it?
I'm hoping it's because things will get worse before they get better. I've seen people say that so fingers crossed.
When I was first diagnosed with a TSH of 100 I had felt very ill but had no pain.
When prescribed levo I had muscle/joint pain all over, I could only shuffle about it was so painful. You just don't know what's wrong with you. I also felt so unwell too.
When some T3 was added it made an overall difference to my wellbeing. I think that some of us cannot convert T4 to sufficient T3, which is the active hormone our Receptor Cells need in order for us to have normal health. That's when I began to look at the internet, found Thyroiduk.org and from then on each step/change I began to recover. It did take a few years but the T3 addition helped the pain. I now take T3 only and am well.
I was on levi 100mg/day for 8 years. For the last 18 months of that I had increasing muscle pain and decrease in activity as a result. I hit rock bottom went on a meat fish veg water diet and still felt rubbish. At this point i realised the only external influence on my body was the levi. I reduced to 50 for a few days and felt an improvement. Then stopped taking it completely and the muscle pain went away. Of course the hypothyroid symptoms then returned but at least I knew what they were! Had no treatment for a few months. Have since gone onto T3 only. No longer fall asleep by 2pm but other than that not much effect.
