Im in exactly the same boat, ordered from mexican drugstore and received the same thing you did. Have actually taken a capsule apart to see if it is dividable by 3 (25mcg would be perfect) but it seems just about impossible.
In a quandry now as taking the full thing would put me at 225mcg a day which is 50mcg too high 😞
What does slow release mean exactly, sorry if thats a dumb question!
The coffee disperses quickly. Tea has to slowly diffuse out over time.
One of the problems is that you cannot be sure that all the T3 will be released. The substance they use to make it slow release might make some of it no-release!
Also, if you did accidentally over-dose, you could remain over-dosed not only for the few hours T3 usually hangs around, but for a full day. So be very careful and take it slowly.
Hi Helvella, I've responded elsewhere and apologize for not responding sooner. I'll have to change my notification settings.
First, this is straight T3, not time-released.
I take Triyotex 75mcg and have found it to be excellent. I single dose at bedtime with the Triyotex and add Cynomel 25 PRN to get to 125ish.
I have never seen anything that says it is anything but straight T3 and haven't found anything by the mfg saying this. It would be dominating, not hidden information.
We're all going a little nuts as South of the border has been most helpful. I don't know what will happen to us if no one produces T3 anymore.
The above comments about the capsule are good questions. Capsules (and this is a gel outside which could probably be opened. I'm not going to waste a pill <g> to test it out) are not easily divided. I guess you could open it and divide it if desperate, but I wouldn't want to rely on that method of administration.
its a while now but what about getting your own empty capsules and dividing the capsules up into those. depends whether you have scales that are accurate enough I guess. Also, I am beginning to think that a few days in Crete would be nice and then you can buy the T3 in the dosage you want and have a holiday , all for the same price!
You can, these days, fairly easily buy laboratory scales - but the cost, calibration and maintenance, as well as the need to have somewhere suitable for setting them up, means few can weigh at the required sensitivity and accuracy!
