Feeling good but 'fizzy'

I know this is strange but need a little reassurance that all is fine. I've been in levothyroxine 50mg for eight weeks and after a truy crappy 2014 I feel vibrant and me again. However I keepfeeling like every molecule of my body is buzzing and I feel fizzy. Anyone else experienced this?

50mcg is a lowish dose, usually a starting dose. Have you had a blood test done since beginning, it is usually around 6 weeks. If not, you should make an appointment as early as possible, and don't take levo until afterwards. Get a copy of your results and post on a new question for comments. If they don't raise your thyroid hormones we begin to get clinical symptoms again and it's usual to raise levo by 25mcg each 6 weeks till we feel better, but unfortunately the GPs may tell you you are 'normal' range and stop increasing medication. That's wrong and can prove problematic for anyone.

Hi Karen, I'm not a scientist and you probably aren't either but I think if you skim the articles on neurotransmission, Substance K and Substance P I think it's involved with this fizzy feeling. Your brain needs T4 and T3 and we know the thyroid affects serotonin and dopamine. One member said her doctor said she had too much substance P.

I recognise fizzy as a sign that I have the dose too high for me. Not a symptom any doctor recognises though. Sometimes get it following a dose increase until I get used to it, if levels have gone too low.

I like your picture! Funny!

I had this 'fizzy' feeling when I took Biocare PT12 on advice of a nutritionist. It felt like something was sweeping up and down my body giving a feeling of buzzing, tingling, jangling of nerves. It was a nasty feeling and I paced the floor all night. Needless to say I didn't take this supplement again. I have tried to explain to people what it was like but know of no-one else who has experienced this. I take 50 mcg Levo. If I try to take more I experience abnormal sweating.

What is Biocare PT12, Raffaela? I've googled it but nothing comes up.

I just looked I cannot see it now, I was sure it was PT12 but all I can see now is PT208 - maybe they discontinued? This was a few years ago and I threw the product away after that one time.
