Runny nose
Hi,I've read somewhere of Runny Nose Syndrome, because I'm the same always got a runny nose summer and winter. Google it.
Rudeboy, you've changed back
Temperature regulation is definitely a hypothyroid problem. I think runny nose is very common and not necessarily a hypo thing. My nose has always run when coming in from or going out into the cold. It seems to be the change in temperature which affects me.
Rudeboy, have you ever tried a dairy free diet? This helped me a lot w congestion and terrible runny nose.
For me anytime I eat hot food. Tabasco makes my nose so awful!!!
When I come out of the shower, every time. I think mine is a sinus thing and the steam helps clear the sinuses. I found when I was working in an office with air con/heat my sinuses hurt like hell. But I think it was drying me out too much. I ended up with inflammation of the eye due to dry conditions (I also had a virus and sinuses all over the place)
my nose runs all the time too but only since I have been taking the Thyroid tablets - before that I never had a problem. its embarrassing…..but could be worse I suppose…
My gp told me I had chronic post nasal drip about 20 yrs ago when I complained about always sniffling. Over the years it has got to the point it runs most of the time, but especially due to temp changes. I was told by another gp that this is a symptom of Hypo. I have tissues everywhere, up my sleeve, in my pockets, handbag, every room in the house and in the car
