Iv`e been reading on the internet that subclinical hypothyroidism carries a substantial risk of heart faiure. Iv`e been on Leovothyroxine for 2 years now, but was diagnosed about 10 years ago. What Im` worrying about now is could I develop heart failure from all those years of not being treated? I thought that it was no big deal as I wasn`t having any real symptoms.

...try not to worry as you do not have any symptoms. Do you have your FT3 readings ? Is your T4 converting well ? The heart needs a good supply of T3 as well as all the other bits and pieces ! Inflammation is one of the causes of heart/circulatory disease - so I have read :-)

There is a site that describes everything about subclinical hypothyroidism, the benefits of T4 therapy and the benefits of T4 treatment of hypothyroidism generally. It is: my thyroid.com and deals with heart disease.
