MCV (82)

Just heard that my latest blood test shows a slightly reduced MCV (82). I have had Airways Hyper-Reactivity for some years. Have Chronic Refractory Cough and have been Hypothyroid for about 24 years.

Very worried and waiting for the holidays to be over so can see my GP. Any opinions/observations?

Compliments of the season to all.

MaminaElsie, one low red blood cell count if all the others are normal isn't usually significant. Low MCV can be a sign of iron deficiency anaemia. Was ferritin or iron tested at the same time?
