Prof W in Oxford?

Hi

My lovely endo has suggested I see Prof. W for my suspected metabolic bone disease (my thyroid is fine so he doesn't need to fiddle about with that!) and just wondered if anyone has seen him? If so could you please pm me?

Many thanks :)

Mishka,

Appreciated that you have asked nicely for private messages - but you might need to post his name for us to be sure of identifying him! (Maybe it is obvious if you are more aware of metabolic bones diseases?)

Thanks Rod, I didn't want to break any rules! It's Professor John Wass :)

No problem so long as responses about him are by PM. :-)

As a matter of interest he was the subject of an hour long programme on television earlier this year all about the endocrine system. You may be able to find it through Google. It was either this year or last. Time flies! Might be nice for you to put the face to the name.

Thanks Hennerton, I saw him on breakfast news talking about it but I still haven't got round to watching the programme. It probably was a year ago, that's a scary thought!

That is interesting as he has clinics in both Oxford and Banbury, both close to me, though I am not sure what he charges?

He has a webpage at johnwass.org.uk/appointment...

Hi Cal

I saw him at Oxford, I think the first appointment was £200 and the phone consultation follow ups were £100. I'm not totally sure though, I'm very lucky to have insurance that has paid for it all so far!
