Previous threads seem to have ended up asking why take raspberry ketones. Suspicions being that they sound several thousand times more worth taking than they are. Suggest you search and read the various responses.

My pharmacist said that there's a warning about this stuff interacting with a heart medication. Don't know which. But she was having all sorts of grief going on with a patient who was taking these and having a bad reaction. People buy all sorts of junk and don't take into consideration their other health situation and meds. I looked it up afterwards, but couldn't find anything. She said that the Ministry of Health had sent out a bulletin to the pharmacies though. <shrug>

I have read that it interferes with Thyroid function so if you have a thyroid problem you should avoid at all costs.

I took it and put on weight.

Avoid avoid avoid.

One of the main ingredients is Vitamin K which interacts with Warfarin taken by many with Heart problems A well known Pharmacy is selling Raspberry Ketones ½ price at the moment but important to read ALL the ingredients.

I looked into this once - thought it sounded too good to be true and it was. Raspberry ketone pills normally contain very high levels of caffeine, which is why they claim to speed up the metabolism and help with weight loss. It's nothing to do with raspberries or ketones. You often get a second lot of pills which are called 'detox'. These are in effect a mild enema to push everything through your gut more quickly so you can absorb fewer calories. So it's effectively the coffee and senocot diet. Give it a miss.
