Hi It sounds to me as if you need a diuretic. Does anywhere else swell? Are you on your feet a lot? if it goes down at night not too serious.Whenever possible sit with feet up above hips. Are you sure your BP is good?

Manual lymphatic drainage treatment by a qualified therapist may help. It's not at all painful and I found a course of treatment really helped. In addition support tights/knee highs may help.

Would also echo the advice of keeping your legs raised.

Swollen ankles can be a symptom of heart failure. Have you had an ECG done? Your GP can do this in the surgery. Clemmie

Hashimoto's/Hypothyroid and had swollen, painful ankles. Went gluten-free and started B12 and D3 supplements all in one week and something made a huge difference (after 2yrs of suffering). Can't say which helped as started all at once but I suspect GF and vit D3. Started Levo 2 weeks later so wasn't that which helped.
