Hi all, who has adrenal problems and how are you getting them sorted? I thought I was getting on top of mine but it seems a bit of sport, stress and activity, my adrenals have plunged and I'm getting the shakes again after a few months of feeling ok. REally? Why are they so pathetic???
Would love advice in this regard
thanks

What were you taking to help your adrenals? Over exercising is something adrenals hate, so you have to take it steadily.
I am improving slowly and steadily. I keep changing what I take and currently am trying to reduce the amount of hydrocortisone I take. Just a few days ago I added in rhodiola and increased Vit C, which seem to have made a difference. I also take Nutri Adrenal Extra, AdrenoMax, ginseng, Thyro Complex, nutri thyroid, thyroxine, Vit D.
A few days ago I reduced my HC from 20mg to 17.5mg. Adding in the rhodiola and Vit C seems to have made a difference and today I've taken 15mg HC. I'm hoping that can continue and maybe I can reduce even more.
It's a continuously changing game with adrenals - at least it is for me. Two steps forward and one step back. I've been working on mine for 18 months and I still have a long way to go. But where I started from is getting further and further away.
One thing that really helps keep my blood sugars under control is eating my main meal at lunchtime. I'm on an ultra healthy diet and have been for several months, as I'm deliberately losing weight. Loads of veggies and salads, no potatoes, wheat, rice, pasta, bread etc.
I'm on Dr Wilsons adrenal rebuilders and pregnenolone. I also take a trillion vit supplements - Vit Cs, all the Bs, selenium etc. I eat largely paleo, still have yogurt but no gluten or sugar. Using adrenal cocktails etc. I have made gains since being on the rebuilders and pregnenolone for the past 2 months but this crash I've had is unprecedented, feels like I've gone back 3 or 4 months now.
I do have some rholdiola, wasn't sure how to take it so haven't started with it.
My sugar lows have got so bad again, I have to eat throughout the night, I had managed to cut it down to only eating once in the night usually close to 7am but now am back to 2 or 3 times a night as I wake up shivering and shaking, I know these hypoglaemic attacks are very bad for adrenals too, lots of stress.
I have had terrible gut issues since May and they come and go at will, since the crash 5 days ago, I'm back to nausea and pain.
It's a minefield!! I felt energetic so I thought it was good to try build up metabolism by giving exercixe a go, wasn't expecting this!!
Sulamaye, I had an adrenal stress test done which proves I have low cortisol throughout the day. I"m currently taking a range of Bcomplex vits, Vit C, Magnesium, Selenium and Adrenal Rebuilders for my adrenal fatigue. My private Doc has also put me on the hormone pregnenolone. I was doing pretty well just 2 months into this protocol but last week experienced a bad crash, possible from too much exercise and also raising my thyroid hormone up a bit which does stress out the adrenals.
Thats how I'm trying to fix my adrenals, oh and diet too, I eat largely paleo.
A lot of you seem to be eating clean and still having issues, Adrenal Fatigue is caused by constant stress but did you know that the 'stress' can be coming from inside??? Check out the following 💟
This is what I've been told. Removing stress the the most important interventions. Yes,vitamin b and c and so are vital but while stress is present we cannot get better. Sucks as taking supplements is much easier...
