I was tested for an underactive thyroid and it came back as no treatment required but I have to get repeat blood tests.

Les82, A repeat blood test, usually 3 months later, is to rule out other illness, virus etc, ie non-thyroidal illness causing elevated TSH.

Maybe a good idea to ask for the results of this test that did not require treatment. People here may not agree. Please post with the ranges.... Hopefully we can help. :-)

Thank you. I was to leave it 4 weeks and then they have to be repeated x

It might be that your blood test are abnormal but that they don't reach the level required by some guidelines for when treatment starts. For examples some TSH reference ranges are something like 0.5 - 4.5 but guidelines state don't treat until TSH is over 10. So a patient with a TSH of 7 would be told no treatment needed but a repeat test is done later to check if the TSH has risen higher.

You need to find out your actual blood test results to know what "no treatment needed" really means. You also need the reference ranges for the tests as different laboratories use different ranges.

Best of luck,
