I was diagnosed with a under active thyroid a year ago n am on a low dose of 25mg which seems to b working for me but I have noticed my hair as got sooo much thinner is this because of the thyroid or something else??

Hair loss is a common thyroid symptom. 25 is really just a very low starting dose and you should have been retested after4-6 weeks and your dose most likely increased. This should be repeated until you find the right dose for you. Please post your results at each increase. You are entitled to get them from your GP and the ranges are important as well as machines vary. Make sure you take your dose well away from any food or supplements. When we see your actual readings we shall be able to offer further advice.

hi thanks for the reply I was retested 6 weeks after n then 6 months after and av been told my levels r fine I do feel well on this dose it's just my hair it's falling out lots
