I have only ever felt well on t3 only. As for the longest period of time, I cannot remember. I was on t3 for a while when I was initially diagnosed and became well very quickly. When I was switched to t4, I became unwell. I am back on t3 only and feeling relatively well. I still have a way to go but i suspect there are other issues at play too. RA is something the GP is considering but I wonder about adrenals. When I can afford it, I will get a test. It may be the missing piece!

now i think adrenals come into place only when it has to do with blood sugar imbalances, i mean everything is affected equally, liver too! which needs hormonal balance to create t3, and if you pour it on with t4 only ofcourse it can not convert to t3 well enough when your whole metabolism is at lower rate, so balanced t4t3 medication may be the key..maybe you need just tiny t4 dose....and you never tried a combination?

i know my adrenals respons calmed down when i improved my metabolism and energy levels, i dont think adrenals are the missing link, they are just the one showing how poor condition you are in.......this is my sense of things.....i was having panick attacks for 2 years non stop every single day 2 of them :).......never took anything for adrenals.....they will get fixed once you fix metabolism....

treating liver may be more efficient and focusing on methilation process........

also good diet, if you are not putting more stress there...

About 18 months or so on same dose of Levo many years ago. On T3 I measure in days. 79 is my record. I hope you don't find this depressing news!

lol no!! i am very suprised i did not get more answers :)

i would stick to my original idea, i think conservative approach is taking combination therapy, long term, in a way i am not surprised that you can not reach that balance on t3 only...i think we need them both, t4 gave me resistance against cold! so i did notice some benefits from it....but it felt so incomplete! energy low and mood low!

i notice people just go from 1 extreme(t4 only) to another extreme(t3 only).....

there must be some process why you do what...and the same goes with vitamind3....people may take it just too much

still working on it.
