i am readign about thyroid only about 3 months intensively, and i ask myself every day is it possible that doctors who treat thyroid around the globe are so below average scientist? or someone is doing this on purpose....it seems to me like impossible to miss it so big time, for so long ? .......

and that none of those doctors never had a thyroid problem himself.....

yes i think BIG PHARMA! doesnt like we take just 2 cheap pills....and solve so MANY issues with helath and even live longer!

In most cases, if the doctor has thyroid disease himself, his attitude does change - Drs Lowe, Hertoghe, Dalle et al. But not always! Some of them are so hide-bound that they even let themselves suffer!

Grey, I think the undertreatment of hypothyroidism is down to lack of good medical training and the slavish adherence to clinical guidelines written by people who suppress evidence which doesn't accord with their prejudices and are overly influenced by the Big Pharma promotion of Levothyroxine monotherapy despite counter examples.

Well, isn't that what it says in that article? I thought it was. But medical training is hugely influenced by Big Pharma. It is not in their interests to teach doctors how to effectively treat thyroid.

I so agree - point 1 - "the test is bogus because the range is so broad, you can be in the green zone (within the range) and still feel miserable."

So many of us on here know exactly how true that is.
