Hi ayrshirelass13, it is best that you post your results with the ranges in brackets, so that members will be able to advise you : ). Also how long have you been on levythyroxine? If possible, you can post blood test results over previous few years to show effects of meds.
Sheesh ayrshirelass, no wonder you're tired, you're still hypo and added to that your folate is under range as well as your ferritin. Ferritin needs to be at last minimum of 70, folate 15 or above.
thank you been on levthyroine about 6yr this is first time manage to get results they keep say alls normal got that yesterday when i phone but receptionist was good about reading them out. have terrible probs with my iron and i was wondering id t3 would help as i think it low but not a 100% thank you for your reply cc120 is great that you took the time again thanks
got folate tablet today thank you sazzyb i had iron infusion but took a bad reaction now i got to watch can only tolerate small amounts of iron
Hi, I didn't have a clue about folate, ferritin until a couple of months ago when I had results like yours. Thanks to this site and PAS on here (it might be a good for you to join them, they're great on bloods)
I now take Jarrow Folate, I'm on iron tabs from the hospital for ferritin and I also take Jarrow Methylcobalamin B12, 5000mcg sublingual - (meaning place under the tongue for the best absorption.) Methylcobalamin is the superior form of B12 - and I also have the B12 5000mcg patches. I'm not able to run a marathon yet because I've not long started the supplements but if I can just get on top of this miserable fatigue I'll be happy. Have you had your VitB12 tested?
yes i have pernicious anaemia get my jags every 8 wks but need to fight tooth and nail to keep getting them as they want to put me back to every 12wks but hay ho that nhs for you they would rather keep you ill than spend money lol thank you and hope you get to a good place soon the tiredness is terrible so can understand
