I have asked my GP but he pretty much ignored me. I have heard it is available privately but I can't find it. Does anyone know?

I am diagnosed with hypothyroid and fibromyalgia. Also been told I have empty sella pituitary. Where can I get glucagon stimulation test?
Welcome to the forum, Lukibird.
"Empty sella syndrome appears as a flattened or shrunken pituitary gland in scans taken of the brain. Most patients have no symptoms, and generally no treatment is required. If hormone deficiencies are present, replacement therapy is important."

Your GP will need to refer you to an endocrinologist for Glucagon stimulation. It is one of several pituitary function tests. patient.co.uk/doctor/pituit...
If you post your thyroid results with the lab ref ranges (figures in brackets after the result) members will comment/advise.
Many hospitals do it - but it isn't something you could hope to do any other way than being in a hospital.

Hi
You can get referred privately to an Endocrinologist (£150-£200) for consultation
You can request Glucagon Stimulation Test
It would cost a whopping £2000 in a private Hospital
But if you requested it to be done privately in the NHS Hospital...it would be around £800
I got these figures from one Endocrinologist in particular
You can message me for details
