Have you taken your temperature when you feel hot?

Do you check your temp around 3 times a day. Is your heart rate fast?

Have your had a recent blood test for your thyroid gland. If so, post results with the ranges. If not, I would advise getting one.

I had awful problems for a long time with always being too hot. Eventually I found out what causes it for me..... If I don't eat every three hours or so. Then it seems that insulin builds up because it has nothing better to do, so I get really hot. I only found this when I decided to eat using an alarm in an attempt to lose weight. Not sure i have it exactly right about the insulin, but no matter.... Eating regularly means I don't feel hot.

I like food but am terrible for missing meals and snacks.

Bossbird, I felt very hot, temperature normal but skin hot to touch, and had electric pin and needles in my arms and hands when the weather became hot in June. I reduced my T4 by 25mcg and this helped. You are taking roughly the equivalent of 360mcg T4. Perhaps you should have a thyroid blood test in case you are overmedicated thyroid.about.com/od/thyroi...

I get very hot too, especially at night. I'm on NDT 3 grains and had a blood test recently that was far from optimal. Last night, I got soo hot, no covers on and window opened, woke up with a banging headache, so probably dehydrated from it. Sometimes I feel like I'm hallucinating and in a very light sleep when this happens. Hopefully someone will come up with some reasons, as I also would be very interested in Why, It's been happening on a and off for about 18mths, even when I was on Levo.
