Anyone else taking 10mg Liothyronine twice a day on top of 50mg Thyroxine?

I only just started today....hehe I was just interested in how it was for others....was strange as I dont think my Pharmacy even knew what dose to give me as they probs hardly give it out lol sorted it tho.

Anuba, Did the pharmacy supply you with 20mcg tablets or do they have 10mcg? I found brain fog, clarity of thought and fatigue improved in a few days after I added T3 to T4. I hope it works as well and as quickly for you.

hi there. There was some confusion at first but in the end they gave me a bottle of 5mcg and told me to take two twice a day at 8 and inbetween after three but before five (this is what my endo thot to go with at the time related to me specifically i fink). Apparently it dont come in tens. Oh it would be so wonderful if this worked at all as Im so unwell on just t4....so happy you are feeling a bit better on this sort of combo

Hi, I've been on 10mcg T3 twice daily for over 2weeks now. Not taking any T4 , taken off that by hospital consultant about 9 weeks ago as was near enough disabled by T4.

Am doing ok/gradually improving on T3, am finding it a lot more calming than thyroxine so far. It also seems to be calming down my palpitations. I'm feeling optimistic!

Rach adding T3 to T4 stopped the palpitations and tremors I experienced on T4, too.

I am so interested to hear your news as I have now been taken off T4 by my endo as its been making me so unwell. Next week he will give me a trial of T3 only to see if it helps. Am so glad to hear that its being successful for you.

Goodluck. I only just literally started a mix of 50mg levo and 10mg twice a day so I have to wait and see. Keep in touch.

I have Graves and Hashimotos antibodies, I had my thyroid removed a year ago, I am taking 30 mcg T3 and 50 mcg of Levo, and I am doing much better than I was on just 100 mcg of Levo....I had my thyroid blood tests taken on Monday along with a blood test for Myasthenia Gravis....I going to ring my Endo next Monday for my results...eckkkkk

Oh thats good....please tell us how it goes....Im really interested in how everyone does on it as I brand new to it.....is good that some folk can get on with artificial T3 as is v expensive to buy NDT online.....:)goodluck
