Anyone have any?
Or the dangers of fluoride in general...im locked in a debate about it on another forum and no one will believe me.
I need scientific facts if anyone knows of any links.
Thanks!

This doesn't mention the thyroid, but it does mention the effects of fluoride in other ways. It is very long and quite old but worth reading :

It has a lot of references at the end of the article.
Thankyou!
Hi Grace, I wish I could find the article from a few years ago which discussed the ways in which fluorides & bromides (used in breads and fabrics) displaced iodine in the receptors and causing iodine deficiency leading to hypothyroidism. Perhaps if you google "halides" you can find some evidence.
I think the problem is that fluoride in tea can be at least 40 ppm.
I'm just wondering now: I have not been able to drink coffee for yonks. Gives me a terrible stomach ache. Maybe it was from being hypothyroid because this results in low stomach acid and problems with gut motility. I've had to drink tea but only 2 cups in the morning. Once this new regime of Cytomel/Synthroid is well underway, I'm going to give coffee a try.

Thankyou all so much for yr links, some great stuff there. Had some good responses on babycentre and it will be a cointinuing subject of debate. Many people do not want to believe it, unfortunately.
