I am sorry you are so unwell and Dr Peatfield is an expert in his field. With thyroid gland problems many people get adrenal problems. This is a link which may be helpful:-

Hi Dr P diagnosed me with partial adrenal failure 3 weeks ago, I had to stop all thyroid and started takiing Nutri Adrenal Extra, I am now up to 4 a day. I spoke to Dr P today who advised me to start adding T3 slowly . I saw improvements after about 4 days. Hope this helps.

whats T3

Hi Peaceworks

T3 (liothyronine) (or triiordothyronine) is the Active thyroid gland hormone which is required by all our cells (billions) in our body in order for us to be well and function. Explanation:

Sometimes T4 (levo) doesn't convert to enough for us to feel well or we may have too low a dose.

so T3 is Nutri Adrnal

No. It is the main hormone for the thyroid gland. Dr P believes it is important to fix the adrenals before medicating with thyroid hormones.

No it's not trying as we all had to rely on others'experiences in order to learn and try to get better.

Yes I had to lower dose. cause i was getting really weird sexual visions the office said some people would be happy about that. I am 65 and not in a relationship.

I might add very happily. Apart from my health.

wow it is so good to be on this site so many of us going through the same things. They say that every body has had a hormonal problem at one time in their life.

Hi All! Yes, I've been to see Dr P recently too and he also has me on NutriAdrenal Extra (NAX). My adrenal function is quite bad too. I've just increased the dose to 3 NAX today and I got an immediate boost in energy during the morning (starting to tail off now though).

As others have said, Dr P is an expert - he will take care of you, and if you are concerned about it just ring his office, leave a message and he'll get back to you as soon as he can.

My advice would be to keep following his advice and it should help you a lot. As others have said, it's important to deal with the adrenal issues first before introducing any thyroid supplements. Dr P suggested I start on NutriThyroid after a few weeks too - but I'm concentrating on really feeling some improvement with my adrenals first.

Good luck - and please try not to worry! :-)

It will only be for temporary measure. I hope. the NHS aRe only waiting till i keel over and need to go into hospital and then they will say ahhh adrenal gland problems. WHEN I HAVE BN SHOUTING IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS.

Nutri adrenal did nothing for me
