I am so sorry you feel so bad. I truly hope things get better for you. I can only wish you the best and tell you you are not alone.

Hi popeye, so sorry you are having such a rotten time of it it must feel dreadful for you.On a practical note is there no one who could act as a sort of go between to try and get you and your family back on better terms? Has your hubby done this sort of thing before, do you think it is temporary and heneeds bit og time to himself? If he is your carer and you are almost blind you need to let social services/your doctor kmow that you have no help.Plenty on here care hope things improve quickly for you sending hugs x

So sorry that you are having such a bad time Popeye. My heart goes out to you. It must be really tough to feel ill and be dependent on others. I wonder though, maybe it has all got too much for your husband too and that's why he's absented himself. Please can you call your GP for your own immediate care, and also social services for practical help . And continue to post here in the meantime to lift the frustration of no one to talk to at home.

Thankyou so much ..I've been to my doctors ....after a massive fight with the stupid receptionist (she tried to throw me out) then another office worker stuck up for me and got me straight in to the best lady doctor there...so I sorted.now....and BTW...yes my husband still is ignoring me...and yes he has done this lots of time before...he can't cope..but won't accept any help...he has no friends...he's the deadly silent type....

in reply toPopeye27

You sound a bit calmer now Popeye.Glad you got in to see a good doctor.I thought it might be that your husband not coping.Make sure your needs are met and maybe given a couple of days your hubby might be back. Its a shame he eont accept any help it sounds like he would benefit from it otherwise this will just keep happening, take care x

My sisters son has suffered from diabetics since his teens, he's thirty odd now...still lives with them....and her eldest son is married to a lovely lady with fibro ...I only hope she treats them better than she does me....and I looked after my mum for years after her stroke and then dementia....while she stood back and left me to it.....so did my younger sister....that's why I hurt so much because I care...I thought for years my eldest sister was my best friend...I loved her to bits.....so so sad...she's let me down terribly...me and my youngest sister never really got on...but I who have helped her because I care....

Yes its not nice when you need support and people let you down especially if you are a giving person yourself,.Try and settle down for the night and get yourself some sleep its been a stressful few days for you and as you know stress makes Graves worse. Night night x

Hi popeye, I am so sorry things are like they are for you.....memebers have all given you sound advice, and I agree that you need to contact social services to get the extra help you and your husband both need at home. I understand fully because my family don't help me much at all, but my friends are wonderful. Your husband could be overwhelmed at it all and he needs as much help as you do physically and emotionally. Please contact outside help it will take the strain from your relationship and will enable you and your husband to relax a little.

Please take care
