Having had an initial diagnosis of Hashimotos, with possible Adrenal Fatigue and yet more blood tests pending results, I have been on 4,000iu's of Lamberts Vit D3 per day since I first saw my new specialist; This was the 23rd of April.
It feels like another life-time as I have a blurred concept of time...
My initial score after 5 months on elevated doses of Adcal had only improved 3 points from an initial score of 25, to a dizzy 28.
Its not quite been a month, but I have to say I cannot say I have felt any improvement in my pain levels whatsoever.
However, I must add that during this time I have worked out by a process of elimination that I am also more than likely gluten/wheat intolerant.
No doubt a 'leaky gut' will prejudice mineral and vitamin uptake.... I can understand the link perfectly.
Despite thinking that 4,000iu's worth of Vit D3 sounds like a great deal, I know of somebody who was started on 20,000iu's, which in comparison to my dose sounds like telephone numbers to me!
When upon my last visit to the specialist last week, I asked him if 4,000iu's was enough, as I was still feeling so bad and in so much pain, he told me that it was.
Having become so disillusioned, and so sceptical of everybody who sits behind a medical desk, I was wondering if anybody here could shed some light upon my request. Could I without causing any problems, possibly double my dose to 8,000iu's for a while, as a boost?
I ask as my feet in particular let alone anything else, are so very painful, I can hardly walk as I feel as though I have been beaten on the soles of my feet.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank-you.
