I followed a gluten free diet for 3 months ending in January. Shortly after, I had my TSH done and it had gone from suppressed at less than 0.1(before going GF) up to 1.36. I have just had it done again, after eating gluten since January and it has gone back down to 0.5. Any ideas why?

Thank you for the link. My body seems to do the reverse of the study ie my TSH went up when I was GF yet the study shows that most GF patients need less levo! My body is weird!

Vey interesting. I have the feeling that since being on GF for 3 months and knowing from tests that my TPO antibodies have reduced, I suspect I may have an even more suppressed TSH, as I am now overheating and have managed to lose a bit of weight. Still have terrible pains in my hands though!
