Hi can anyone tell me if taking B12 vitamins helps with hypothyroidism, Already on thyroxine 50mg which is causing me digestive problems ?

It is part of the story with Hypothyroidism. Type B12 into the Search Box on the Green Bar and you will find lots to read....also on the main Thyroid UK website....

Ask your GP to do a blood test for Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, iron, ferritin and folate as we are usually deficient in these. You will then know for sure whether you are deficient. If you supplement with B12, it should be methylcobalamin and not cyanocobalamin. If you supplement with Vit D it must be D3 and not D2.
Thank you marz, and shaws had bloods done today but not the ones you have mentioned, will get them sorted, also I will look on the search box many thanks once again.
