Hi

Thanks for posting, but this is very hard to read - perhaps you could explain the section that may be of interest to people...

This article is about two incurable cases of ovarian cancer. One lady's concerns were not investigated for a long time, the second lady was initially told her symptoms were due to IBS. Four years later a gynaecological examination resulted in a diagnosis of endometriosis, which by the sound of it was not treated. Six years later her symptoms became unbearable and she was diagnosed with incurable ovarian cancer. Since there were ten years between the initial diagnosis of IBS and that of ovarian cancer, it is unlikely that the ovarian cancer was present from the start. The point made by Anbuma: 'doctors can be mistaken' is undeniably true as for all humans but as the post concerns ovarian cancer this is perhaps for another forum. Doctors' surgeries are now displaying leaflets with the symptoms of ovarian cancer but I feel these are a waste of resources as long as there is no comprehensive test offered at regular intervals like smear tests and mammographies or sound scans.

thank you belwom for explaining it.i cropped and enlarged them so could be read.i didnt want to post it on the OC forum fro whatever reason.i cant see what the point of surgeries displaying leaflets when drs ignore symptoms.CA125 tests fro OC are unreliable.got two very different results from two different places fro the same period so how can that be reliable
