Fifteen years ago, after several years of always feeling tired, bloating etc, I was diagnosed with food intolerance and told to avoid wheat, which I did. Seven years ago I started to feel tired, putting on weight, diagnosed hypo. Last two years I have not been well, very up and down, very raised TPO antibodies diagnosed. I then stopped eating gluten (so no wheat, oats, barley or rye) and after 6 weeks my antibodies were halved. Now avoiding gluten and dairy, trying a paleo diet, see where that gets me .Leaky gut syndrome makes perfect sense to me!
