It's not specifically about Thyroid, but it does repeatedly question the sense of the 'one size fits all' approach to treating women - particularly their hormonal changes and challenges - in the NHS. It targets the questionable nature of many 'big pharma' HRT products, and their dosage (over-generous, non-variable). In particular, it questions (several times) the accuracy or sensitivity of the 'normal' ranges for hormones, chemicals, vits and minerals, that are set in the UK, particularly for thyroid treatment. It also stresses the need for more careful checking of vitamins and minerals. eg when our ferritin is rock-bottom it's no good to keep telling us to eat more red meat!! Read it, tweet it, tweet her, write to the Guardian, tell all your friends. Like her or not JW is a good figurehead to get behind on this one, maybe we can rally round and achieve change.

I was about to post an alert to this article too, so am glad to see you've beaten me to it. I think it's very important....and good to have someone so articulate publicly questioning mainstream medicine.
She has clearly faced the same problems with the medical profession as most of us on here, though it's unclear whether or not her thyroid was involved.
