I have been hypothyroid for a few years and the docs in the uk are not too hot on the condition, just give me lev and let me get on with it basically. I have been reading that a lot of you are taking vit B12 and wondered if this would benefit me at all, I have been reading up on it but am confused as to how much to take???. I allready take extra vit c, fish oils, multi vits all very good quality ones.

really you should get tested before taking supplements (not that taking B12 will hurt as excess gets excreted, it's just better to know your starting levels for appropriate dosing). J

If your GP hasn't tested your B12 also ask him to do Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate as we are usually deficient. Get copies with the ranges and post if you have any queries.
