I was taking T3 only meds ( too little ).
Anyway, serum result. T3 well low.
My queary is TSH had increased, but T4 stayed low. Dr. explained TSH was ignoring T4
& reacting to T3 level. Is this what happens?

Yes. When you take T3 alone, normally you will have a high T3 level, low T4 and low/suppressed TSH. When you don't take enough thyroid hormones for your needs the TSH rises which has happened to you. When we don't take levothyroxine (T4) the T4 is low because we're not supplementing. I hope you feel better soon.
Penny, I have been posting some of the 22 videos that talk about secondary hypothyroidism which I believe might be the case for those patients who have symptoms after being treated. In these 5-min videos he talks about the various attacks that affect thyroid management. Certain antibodies can attack certain receptors which I'm thinking you have since your T4 is okay but your T3 is not. If you care to look at the ones that have to do with secondary attacks (those that do not attack the thyroid gland directly) I'll give you the first video and I think the others you can find on your own.
#6 thyrogobulin antibodies
#7 TPO
#9 TSH receptor cells (mostly Graves patients)
#10 Attack on your own T4 and T3 (This is the one I'll link because this might be your problem.
#21 Cortisol suppressed receptors
I do think this man has the right idea but of course cannot treat over the internet.

Hi Heloise,
Really useful - thanks, will have a look.
Wonder if you Know of any info links re. this situation. Years ago & again this time, on taking Adrenal or Thyroid supps Prolactin level increases. As soon as cease taking the level returns to normal. Really weird & really want to understand association, especially to Thyroid meds.
Thanks
Penny
Hi Penny, I really know very little about this but find it very interesting. I've just watched this video I have labeled prolactin, #4.

He's relating Prolactin to Dopamine and Dopamine possibly to anemia.
What supplements were you taking to cause levels to change?
