I am sure i posted a pic of my neck but unable to find that post.so i am posting another so it can be seen that I do have swelling and enlarged lump (larynx.and thyroid) here is one pic I may have deleted the one I was lookign for

This swelling is similar to mine ........ the ENT surgeon I saw said it's a goitre which is growing and placed me on a regular follow up with US scan of the nodules. However, I have been referred to an Endo for a second opinion as I wasn't happy with the first endo I saw....... I would suggest you follow the advice previously given by other members and get private TFTs done through Blue Horizon, and then arrange a private US scan of your glands....... goodluck

would i have to have the scans first if its a goiter or nodules then thats separate issues to the thyroid gland or not?

The ultrasound scan will show whether you have nodules in your thyroid glands......
