I am self medicating N.D.T. and for almost 2 months have felt wonderful compared to the previous 25 years of no help from N.H.S. The Endo could not provide N.D.T. or Levo. In fact he encouraged me to stop the N.D.T and go back onto the fluoxatine (prozac). How I kept my face straight, I do not know. I have been able to come off not only fluoxatine but also statins, metformin and lansoprazole, with no ill effects since starting on N.D.T.
There is no way I am returning to the pain and ill feelings of the past. I will take my chances and carry on. I hope this helps some one who has suffered as I have, to do your own research and question authority, who think they know every thing.

Of course he wants you off the NDT. He doesn't get paid to make you better. He gets paid a whole lot more for diagnosing and treating depression and for prescribing statins.
You shouldnT try to keep your face straight, what's up with laughing at him? Don't forget to roll your eyes and look up to the ceiling when he spouts his nonsense. I think many of us have been treated to this response at one time or another. :-).
Hi jammidodger, You give us all hope. Carry on doing what you are now, but don't forget to make sure all your vits and minerals are good. Janet.
Well done, you! And congratulations for having the courage to take control of your own health. When you start feeling better than you've ever felt for years it is extremely empowering, and confirmation that you've done the right thing.
