Tightness around wrists?

Does anyone else with Hypothyroid get tightness around their wrists? It feels almost like I'm wearing a bracelet. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just there and it comes on at random times, sometimes my left wrist, sometimes my right.

I've been struggling with one of my wrists/hands for a couple of months now. I find myself taking my watch off as it feels tight and also have pain on and off in index and middle finger with certain movements. I've just had my thyroxine dose upped and have also been referred for nerve conduction tests as doc suspects it is carpal tunnel...

that's interesting, I have problems with my middle finger tingling as well...

Keep a check on it and get it checked if it doesn't improve. The tingling and random pains got the better of me in the end. Apparently b12/d deficiency can also cause tingling.

Hi

I was diagnosed with mild carpal tunnel after nerve conduction studies.

Again I find it is all related to thyroid

Mine began approxiamately 1 year before hypo was diagnosed, As sadly many of us experience a rapid decline in our health often before diagnosis. Do you get any numbness or weakness?

Thanks for the replies. I do get numbness and weakness in patches.

My last TSH results were 2.6 while on .05 of Synthroid, so that seems pretty average.

Hi, although I don't have hypothyroid, as far as I know, you've just described the exact symptoms I've had for about a month now. I realise your entry was made a long time ago, so maybe you have the answer by now.
