thyroid eye disease and possibly the adrenal system ........after having seen -- in my opinion -- a super consultant at moorefields hospital he actually asked if I had any info that he hadn't he would be extremely open to learn from any and all and I feel that if I can at least point him in a direction it could help the cause ........alan

  • It's good the the consultant at Moorfields was interested in learning more. It does make a change.

For all information on B12, the Pernicious Anaemia Society would answer your questions.

  • WOW! - where is moorfields? ( I think I m ight move there soon...;-) - I would really really love to have a consultant like that - you are sooo lucky - make sure you hold onto that one, and best of luck with your treatment.

  • If you go to this page on the link Clutter has used it shows you all the good places to visit for info:

You could also point him towards the books - Could It Be B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnosis (Pacholok & Stuart), and Martyn Hooper's 2 books "Pernicious Anaemia: The Forgotton Disease" and "Living With Pernicious Anaemia and Vitamin B12 Deficiency".

And get him to watch all the documentaries as well found here:

There are lots of articles on Pubmed linking autoimmune thyroid disease, PA and addisons/adrenals. He should research Polyglandular Autoimmune Syndrome (particularly type 2). If you look at this Addison's Disease article and scroll down to "Associated Diseases":
