Has anybody had Synacthen test? Being sent for one by my Endo because I have been feeling very tried ,depressed and with very stiff and aching legs. My TSH levels are fine but she said I have to take vitamin D at 25mcg for the rest of my life!!!

Yes I have had one of these done and the only problem I had was choosing what type of biscuit I should have after the test.lol.
Seriously though, it is nothing to worry about but if you take our levo in the mornings then wait until after the test - which takes about to hours and is painless. What I will say is that it is not the most reliable test for seeing how well your adrenal glands are working as the doctors are only looking for adrenals that are not producing anything at all or are over producing but not adrenal fatigue, which is when the adrenals are not working to the best of their ability.

I've only had the short version, but my advice would be to take plenty of tissues as it made me cry uncontrollably (same thing happens when I get stressed naturally).
I also had insulin stress test, which made me really ill, so if you are referred for one of those, make sure you have someone to get you home afterwards so you don't end up lying in the street like I did.
