I have recently started to suffer with severe and sharp pains in the back of one thigh when I do nothing more than turn over in bed or tuck my leg under me on sofa. It's almost like a cramp type of pain. Does anyone know if it is a side effect of meds or thyroid problem and should I be worried. It's happening a few times a day and making me wary of turning over.

leg pain ? I was diagnosed with graves and hyperthyroidism in December and am taking 40mg carbizamole and beta blockers.
Sounds a bit like sciatica. I didn't have that but I had all sorts of muscle aches and pains and also awful cramps wen I was first diagnosed with Graves and started Carbimazole. Wonder if you have become a bit under active, that was part of my problem. Graves affects your body in so many weird ways.
I was wondering about the possibility of being underactive as my t4 and t3 levels have dropped quickly. Back at Endo on Thursday so will find out. Thanks for your help
Yes, I felt awful when I was under, I felt awful when I was over but under was just as bad in a different way. I went from TSH <0.03 (0.35-5.5) T4 38.5 (10.0-19.8) to TSH 7.0 T4 10.2 - never had T3 done - between December and the end of February. My whole body felt like I had been run over by a bus, but my legs and feet probably felt worst, the night cramps were so bad my legs hurt next day my nails and fingers were agony flaked and peeled right down as far as they could go and my hair was falling out all over the place.
Good that you have an endo visit coming up. Have you had bloods done for going or do they do that on the day? Does your endo treat with B&R or will they titrate until they get you sorted out?
Had tests done on Friday so should get results back Wednesday to take to Endo. At minute I think the plan is to take me under and then block and replace. It sounds like you had a rough time of it. Are you sorted now?
