My face has started this annoying twitch, not really visible but I can feel it just on my left cheek at the side of my nose, could be I'm really tired and stressed?

Does your face ever twitch
I get twitches above my eyebrow on either eye they tend to take it in turns. I also get twitches in my eye lids, when I spoke to an option he said it could be a number of things. Tiredness, lack of sleep and the fact that you have hypothyroid! Unfortunately he also said there is not much you can do about it apart from try to get a few good nights sleep!!...... easier said than done, I go to bed and i'm wide awake if I do get to sleep it's not for long. Only time I sleep loads is when I'm not well.
I had twitches in my left eyelid (looked like winking!) which I put down to lack of sleep: I'd go to bed v.late because of being wide awake, then lie awake for hours before falling asleep somewhere around 5am. Both problems went away a couple of weeks after beginning B12. The sublingual spray seems most effective. I use 1 spray 2 x daily (7am and 5pm) giving me a daily does of 600mcg. I also had some level of jaundice as the whites of my eyes were slightly yellow. It was a real bonus when my hair stopped falling out! There are now signs of regrowth!
Hi, yes I get twitches below my right eye. Very annoying. I've only just started to get them myself. I am hypothyroid too.

Me too, annoying isn't it! I'm hypothyroid, didn't realise it was connected! Had it for a 3 month stretch once, I've just had about 10 months off and now its started again......grrrrr!!!!
Yes, I regularly get this exact same place have for years, comes and goes, usually worse when I am tired.
I had a twitch in my left eye on the outer bottom lid margin it was weird rather than anything else . I only realised it was related to my hypothyroidism when I read it was a symptom of the condition. I had mentioned it to my doctor but she did not twig the root of it. I also had terrible cramps in my feet and calves for which she gave me quinine which was pretty effective - that is also a symptom of hypothyroidism. I later had heart problems which were thoroughly investigated (same NHS practice different doc and John Radcliffe hospital) and blamed on the menopause which had nothing to do with them - yet another hypothyroid symptom. I was only diagnosed with hypo some years later (different NHS practice and doc). I still get occasional bouts of foot and leg cramps; the eye twitch has gone since getting treatment with levothyroxine. The heart pains are relentless and will not go away.
TSH110, I also had problems with 2 other doctors at my practice who did not connect any muscle twitches, aches and pains with hypothyroidism.
I get cramps in my legs and feet too - horrible isn't it.
With the eye twitches they feel as though they should be really noticeable but they don't seem to be when I talk to people or they talk to me. They twitch then but it might be that they're too polite to say anything haha. I'm on 150mcg Levothyroxine.

Yes Jo, the foot and leg cramps are horrid and have been far more of a problem for me than the eye twitching. I once got it in both legs and feet at the same time in the night and could not even stand up to try and get rid of it the pain was so excruciating I really thought I was going to die of a heart attack, I was yelling for help in agony. I somehow got up and slowly managed to get it to go away. I still get a few days here and there where it comes back but always in just one leg/foot and standing up, stamping the foot and contorting, massage etc eventually stops it. I have not tried quinine since diagnosis because it improved so much, but if yours persists badly with Levo treatment then it might worth asking your GP to prescribe it. You can take it as needed. Mine was so bad I had to have it every day and it stopped it dead in its tracks. The cramp comes on at night when I am asleep and rarely in the day. The eye twitch was plain odd - it was barely discernable and very fast and felt strange but not painful. I am glad it has gone. Perhaps quinine would knock that on the head too?
I am on levothyroxine 100 7x a week and 25mg 4x a week. I have a lot of hypo symptoms still but also feel agitated and that usually means my TSH is going too high into hyper levels
That sounds terrible for you to have it in your feet and legs. I get cramps in my legs and they and my feet are always cold. My boyfriend calls me a corpse as they're that freezing.
I find that massage starts my cramps - I hope that's a good thing LOL.
Quinine sounds like a good idea to take. That's in tonic water isn't it. I don't like the taste of it usually so I'll have to include something in it to take the horrible taste off!
My cramps and twitches persist even with the 150mcg Levo and I was hoping that since my last TSH reading was high my GP would increase it. Unfortunately she didn't.
I get hyper and hypo symptoms too - I'm constipated but almost underweight. I'm tired and have a low body temperature but I haven't lost my hair. It's all so confusing!

Sorry to hear that Jo - I hope your boyfriend warms your feet up in the back of his knees lol! I used to torture one of mine that way
The quinine tablets are well coated and easy to take and free for us on NHS. The amounts in tonic water are probably not enough to be an effective method of treatment but nice with gin lemon and ice ha ha!
I get mixed symptoms too heart rate is 20bpm higher that when I was well, I am breathless on mild exertion (iron might be relevant looking at posts here). I feel cold but get hot flushes. My ribs broke 3 times for no reason but my bone density is excellent. I have disturbed sleep patterns - up all night and falling asleep in the afternoon and evening. We are worthy of study! I sometimes think am I nothing more than a bunch of hormones? You are pretty lost if they go haywire.
Haha, sounds like a good idea, thanks for the tip! I don't think he'd appreciate that unfortunately! He tells me not to touch him and pushes me away if I'm too cold for him to touch or hug.
Quinine tablets are worth looking into then. I'll see if my GP or endo can prescribe them for me.
My sleep patterns are all over the place too and yes we are worthy of study!
And that's right, you are lost if the hormones go haywire. And I don't think it's just my thyroid hormones going haywire either - I think my oestrogen is off as I get really bad acne! I'll be 30 next year and I still look and feel like a teenager at having to deal with acne still! Nightmare!

Oh yes I started getting acne for the first time in my forties! Lovely eh? My skin is grot I get godawful boils on my chin mainly - even now. My menopause has long gone now so not sure what thyroid induced hormone problem sets them off. I have had a serious hot flush day - I though I had seen the back of those but they came back with a vengeance. I used to sleep in bedsocks to keep the tootsies more toastie! The hot knee treatment is the best tho lol
I used to sleep in bedsocks too!! Boyfriend always insists on a foot massage however and so I have to pull my bedsocks off. So now I don't wear them at all in case he suggests a massage. Typical!
Hi .I'm really concerned at minute as my left cheek as been twitching for about a week now..scaring me tbh.😢
