SO so sensative

Does anyone feel sensative in general.. it can be a comment or a look from just about anyone. Afterwards i think about it and start to get really anxious....im then worried about t it happening again the next time and it goes on and on.

I think part of it is i dont have the energy to challenge as i would like so i internalise everything.

Yes me as we'll. Feel bit less anxious since starting on Armour but I blow up if someone says something which upsets me, tears etc and will take hrs to pull myself together again. Hopefully this will improve the better I get. Poor husband gets it too!!

Its horrible isnt it thinkiing i hope i dont have to deal with anything tomoorow becausei wont be able to cope...the only way i seem to cope is to live a very structured life,,, get up, eat, rest, eat, read, its almost scary to try something out of my routine..does this make sense to you?

Makes total sense, I keep out of the way of people sometimes for days at a time! Sad as my middle name was SOCIABLE, not any more since becoming unwell...So NO you are not the only one :-(((

Maybe one day we will venture out again....when we have the physical strength we will beable to deal with emotional high and lows more easily.

I found i was very irritable and lacking in confidence,mr confidence was my middle name. Before i was diagnosed and in the early stages of diagnosis i was a real pain and would seem to get very strong views on things to the point i wouldn't let it drop and became very argumentative and fly into a raging frenzy,i was aware of it but couldn't control it just like i was outside my body watching someone else.Once i was aware and this feeling stopped i became very worried that i might be upsetting people, i was apologising all the time and in advance incase i said or did something wrong feeling like people didn't like me.

Exactly..i also feel like people are challenging me all the time as if i dont know my own mind. An example is i told someone who was helping me around the house that i had given up smoking and was using elites, she said isnt that defeating the object, also i said i go online researching things and on thyroiduk sometimes in the early hours when i cant sleep her response was researchings not a good thing and no wonder your tired. why do i have to justify what i do with my life, the same woman also asked my daughter if i was agrophobic, she didnt ask me even though i was sitting there....i may not be well but i still want control over my own life.

There are some very excellent posts today which have enlightened me regarding Research articles (i.e. gluten and brain etc)- it's a pity the Endocrinology World appear to have ignored them. At least we can learn and I think we already know more than them.

Keeping on an even keel is difficult when you're unwell. Given that anxiety is one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. according to all the lists of symptoms I've seen, that is a double whammy. Is paranoia, as suggested by others who have responded, also a recognised symptom? If so, then count me in !!

I understand where you are coming from. I used to be like this until I started supplementing with multivit/mineral formula that is quite specific and high in B vitamins. It was an unexpected and welcome side effect. However, they have to be in specific live forms so if you're interested in knowing the product I am taking the please feel free to pm me and I'll get back to you. I think I'll change my profile name to cooldude! :)

Omg- this is me to a t. I would be very grateful to know what vitamins have helped you and not sure what you mean by 'live' form. I am very withdrawn at times- so that I don't have to deal with the stress people give me. I realise it is me not them. I used to be very sociable- my poor husband goes through the mill too.
