Endo is not being very helpful - don't know what I should do.

Well, I've sent two emails to my endo's secretary. One email was sent out last week to the main hospital building and I had a response back saying it had been forwarded on to the correct recipient. Didn't hear anything back.

So I thought it may have been sent to the wrong department. I then decided to write another, that time managing to get hold of the endo's secretary's address. Marked it for her attention - what do you know, still no response even when I included my phone number.

Why am I getting this hassle?

Thanks

I have a friend who is a Consultants secretary and they have only got back to work this week after the Christmas break. Your endos sec is probably wading through many messages and prioritizing, try to be patient for a bit longer to give them a chance to catch up.

Ok, thanks Hypohen.

Also, I'm having my blood test tomorrow as I moved it forward from the 20th January. I'm very worried about the results not showing anything about the TSH (as I've not been feeling very well at all). They were raised last time but my GP didn't increase my meds, but the reason I'm worried is because I'm having the blood test done very late in the morning.

Is there any chance the blood test won't show anything?

My first endo appointment isn't until March the 4th so am I likely to have another blood test by then? Will the endo withdraw my referral if the results for that come back ok?

Thanks

Hi Jo - would think like hypohen it's quite early to get a response - some are only in clinic one or two days a week and added to holiday factors time soon slips by. Re timing of test, I wouldn't worry I would make a note of the time it is taken and would record the time of your last meds taken before the test. This could be helpful for future reference. It's unlikely they will take another test before March as generally they would have a gap of 3

months. The endo will request more if they need them.
