The ranges differ from lab to lab so it is difficult to answer this question. However the issue is not what is normal but what is optimum for you. That is at what level do you feel well. This is why it is important that your doctor treats the whole person by listening to you and evaluating your symptoms and not just looking at the test results. Something that many doctors either have forgotten or are too busy to do.

Hi Always make sure you have a print out with the essential ranges. Normally, T4 top third of range and Free T3, most people like near the top of range. However, if this high ,essential to have lots of blood tests for T4and Free T3, as very dangerous to go over range.Sometimes Hypo and Hyper have the same symptoms, mine do, confirmed by Endo.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Blood tests mean very little, how do you FEEL? That is the most important!!

I feel good except I can't get the weight that I suddenly put on. I'm gone from 57 kilos to 61. I've always been able to drop weight. Any way that's no big deal. Thanks

Numbers mean very little we are all different, so how can the numbers be the same for everyone?

I'm going on me no one else. I have two pathology test done a year. I have them all. I can compare them then I have an average if what my body is doing. My thyroid was off the scale last year even jan this year. Blood does carry our health is issues. It beats going to a doctor and trying to explain what my problem is. He gets it wrong and serious consequences. I'd rather be diagnose by a test than a guess from the doctor. In fact the last doctor did get it wrong. Thankfully it was picked up
