hi everyone, OI'm on thyroxine and just wondering should I be taking my meds before I go for my bood test or not.

Depends when you take your meds and what time your bloods are. If you take your meds at 7am and your blood test is at 9am I would wait until after your bloods.

I always take my meds first thing in the morning before I take my grand children to school and blood tests are usually done an hour later.

I normally take my meds 1st thing an hour before food, but when I have an appointment for my blood tests I always take my meds till after I have had my blood tests as I was told it gives a more truer reading.

I didnt take my meds before my bloods this time as its been said doc gets a better reading.I have been on 50grms for 6 months feeling fine he tells me my reading was 10 don't know what he means anyway but put me up another 25grms to my surprise.Since then I been having nausea every morning sleeping ok but getting up in a low mood and cry at everything.no interest in Christmas.dont like the way I feel.Is any of this due to the increase of thyroxine. Can anyone identify this ,,,
