Any one else have low blood counts? My red, white& platlets are all low & l have to take iron constantly. I have Hasimotos, lm on 50mcg levo

Im wondering if its part of the thyroid problem or something else? The Hematologist just says lve got some kind of auto immune problem!?

The haemo is hardly a rocket scientist! Of course you have an auto immune problem, you have Hashimotos.

I had the same for years and was fobbed off by the nhs. I ended up seeing some one private, turned out it was chronic neutropaenia. You may have the same, it means a very low white cell count.

In very simple terms, your immune system is so busy attacking you that your defences are very low, you will be prone to lots of infections.

You may also have low absorption where all your levels are low despite takings lots of supplements. I had this - it was due to undiagnosed coeliac. Once i stopped eating gluten, my absorption improved. Many say that if you have Hashi's then as a rule you should go gluten free. The one can trigger the other apparently.
