Hair changes

I'm hypo and I'm being treated by Dr P for Adrenal Exhaustion. I've always had thin, fine hair which got worse as I became more hypo. However since taking thyroxine it started to get curly (not in a good way). Although I should have gone grey years ago, I haven't but my dark hair colour was getting lighter. This has suddenly changed and now its getting darker again - either the Adrenal Extract or the Thyroid Extract I was prescribed I'm thinking. It should have got lighter from the sun. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else?

My hair is driving me mad at the moment with unexplained curls - like you I have always had thin straight hair which has gotten worse since taking levo/being diagnosed with under active thyroid but for the last 6 months it has started to kink all over the place and curl up so now I can do nothing at all with it!!!!!

Mine tends to have fits and starts - one minute it is falling out no stop and then next it stops but I can honestly say I haven't noticed it getting thicker (I wished). Are you using something in particular to help it along?

Its only a tiny bit thicker, maybe its the curliness. Its never fallen out much but there just has never been been much of it. I think its the treatment I'm having. I keep it really short so I notice changes quite quickly. x

Yes mine's really short as well - I did find a really good shampoo and conditioner from a company called "the dancing dolphin" which made my hair really bouncy again - it felt wonderful - but it seems to have stopped working, unless its because its got a bit longer, so I'm going to have it cut at the end of the week to see if it helps. The trouble is mine is always falling out and I definitely think its more the levo than the illness itself.
