Would like to try armour. Seems you pay for the prescription but can someone please tell me where to find a doctor to write the prescription

Some GP's are prepared to give you Armour, but if you don't have any luck get the list of recommended doctors from Lou. You will have to make an appointment to go and see one of them.

Many Thanks for this. GPs very unhelpful. Consultant finally admitted T4 alone doesn't work for everyone....after 30 years! But no one so far will let me try armour.

Armour Thyroid has been used for more than 100 years but according to false statements made by the British Thyroid Association (rebutted by a scientific article by Dr John Lowe and ignored by the BTA) it is not encouraged for use. Armour makes many people well. You can cursor to page 5 of the British Thyroid's to read their statement and despite levothyroxine being recalled quite a few times it is still their recommended treatment.

It's no wonder doctor's are nervous of prescribing.
