Swelling is a clinical symptom of hypothyroidism and it would appear to me (not medically qualified) that your dose is too low. I think you should request a new blood test - don't take medication before and have it as early in the morning as possible. Post the results, plus the ranges for someone to comment.
If we are on an inadequate amount of thyroid meds, we get other/more clinical symptoms. GP's should go only by the TSH but clinical symptoms.
Thank you for your reply shaws. I've just increased T3 back up to 112mcg (am self-medicating) but NHS Endo thinks that I'm over-medicated. Blood tests were done and he had no concerns.
My fingers are also swollen. I've not experienced the weight loss that many get when taking T3, boo!
Think I'll see how this new increase goes and, if I have to, will increase again.
I think weight loss will eventually occur when you get to an optimum level of medication, as it will raise your metabolism.
Info re T3:-

Thanks again shaws. I'm worried about increasing T3 although some on here do take mega doses. I feel it's the only thing I can do so am going very carefully.
I've looked into getting manual drainage for myself as I have a lot of trapped fluid and gunk in my system. I have been advised that I will cry, scream and be in a lot of pain for a couple of days afterwards as it is supposed to be even worse than a sports massage. It's kinda put me off
Please don't be put off! A very good friend of mine (ex nurse for decades) had it done following an accident with resultant lump on her face. The lump has reduced considerably and my friend did not suffer! It was pain-free.
I've a Haematoma that won't go away so am keen to find out whether MLD may help. Will report back.
