Is it possible to have the box you type the question in a little bigger please so we can see the whole question we are typing?

I used to be able to see all of the question as I was typing but now I can only see a couple of lines as the words move up and I have to scroll up and down to read it. Can this box be made bigger please?

Hi

Apparently this is better in Browsers other than Internet Explorer. We have asked the Tech team to look into this.

For future reference, queries of this sort are better directed to support@healthunlocked.com

If you mean the box which says 'Additional Info', you can grab the little shaded bit on the bottom right-hand corner and drag it to enlarge the box, which makes it easier to read what you have typed. The box for the question itself can't be changed as far as I know. I find that keeping the actual question very short and expanding it in the other box is the best way to deal with it.

At the bottom right of the box (when writing a question or when answering) there are two little diagonal lines. Point your mouse at this and you can drag the box to make it larger.

You get diagonal lines is some browsers (Safari), but a cluster of dots in a triangle formation in Firefox. In either case, you can drag that out to make the box bigger.

But in Internet Explorer you cannot resize the box. At present. (Checked with IE 10 a moment ago.)

I use IE 10. Windows 7. IS IE10 not a very good browser? Best wishes

I find that very difficult to answer. I use Firefox 22 myself (usually). But at work I often have to use various versions of Internet Explorer. I know which I prefer but many of the reasons are very individual.

That's a very diplomatic answer, Rod ;)

Well I certainly don't want anyone to feel bad because of the browser they use! And there is little left in general internet that demands one browser rather than another.

A huge reason for liking Firefox is AdBlock Plus. (Is it available of any other browsers?) And FlashBlock.

AdBlock plus is available on Chrome and very useful :D

Everyone has their own preferences. I know people who won't use anything other than IE and that's fair enough. I personally don't like it. I find it annoying and slow but I know many people who don't like Chrome or firefox either :)

Personally I prefer Chrome and I quite like Firefox too but I find it a little slow on my laptop. I don't like Internet Explorer. I don't find it very user friendly and and it is very slow.

Have a look at this :D

A fast computer helps anything!

i7 quad core 2.2 GHz with 8 GB memory makes for a reasonably fast lappie. :-) :-)

Mines only an i5 :( The desktop is much better but I find this easier to use. I'm also impatient so what seems slow to me might be fine to other people :D

You could always remote desktop from your lappie to the desktop... Best of both worlds. Or worst of all.

My husband did that once when he couldn't be bothered to get up and walk over there. I think it was more because he could than because he was feeling lazy :D

I use Chrome as first choice, Opera as second choice and FF as third choice. I have Windows 7 and Windows 8

Try your second choice and you do not get any diagonal lines. (At least with my particular combination of Windows 7 and Opera 12.02 as I said earlier.)

Varies even with Safari. The lines are there on my Mac but not on iPad. No dots or anything else either!

Hi Sandi

Lora says this will be fixed today - see below - or above - it's somewhere on this page anyway....! ;)

Although the browser on the iPad and Mac are both called Safari, they're not actually the same, due to the fact they're running in different operating systems. Mac OSX and iOS (iPad) are different beasts and iOS has much less functionality than OSX. The technology that allows us to communicate with each other here is amazing but often extremely frustrating too (even for people who are not thyroid challenged!) ;)

This fix will be implemented tomorrow so look out!
