I belong to Finnish Thyroid Group ( being finnish here in UK ) and the conversation there at the moment is MACA this is from Google " Lepidium meyenii, known commonly as maca, is an herbaceous biennial plant of the crucifer family native to the high Andes of Peru around Lake Junin" Doctors recommend it to thyroid patients and they just mix the powder with smoothies and yoghurts also comes as capsules . Let me know if anyone has heard this or using it please.

If it is a cruciferous plant then it should not be used by patients with underactive thyroids!

It would be helpful to someone who has an overactive thyroid because it could reduce the production of thyroid hormones.

Cheers Rod , didn't notice them before . I am not actually one of those people who rush to Health food stores and start taking some never heard supplements from south america. It might work for natives and their traditions but ...pass ! I'll suck my daily lemon at least I'll get facial exercise with it :o)
