My new test results are TSH 0,004 and the level of free tyroxine is 77 ( normal values 9 - 24) The GP told me it is too high and he gave me tirozol 20mg three times a day to low my level of tyroxine? Has anyone have similar problem?

Yes georgievamk. Your TSH is almost undetectable and your T4 very high. This means you have hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid). The medication you have been given is to reduce the thyroid hormones that your thyroid gland is over producing. This should make the T4 level go down. I don't know if you have been tested for thyroid anti bodies but if they are present this will confirm Graves' disease.

Hi my current TSH is 0.008 but my T4 and T3 are perfect so it's not an issue for me. With a suppressed TSH they should have tested your T3 too, you really need to keep an eye on these levels more than the TSH which can be quite unhelpful.

All that said the carbi should have you feeling much better in a couple of weeks x
