I think if you email Louise Warville at Thyroid UK she has a list - Rod will soon correct me if I'm wrong!

I do! :) Not sure about Cornwall though, but email me anyway - louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org (no 'e') :)

That's something I'd like to know too. Although I suspect we aren't exactly a hub for all the best docs here.

Think your right ladytelita. I live in North Devon. Can't seem to find any medic who knows anything about thyroid issues LOL (or maybe not!). Wish I knew where they are hiding.

There is a very good NHS one in Plymouth, email me for his name. This may help if we have the right, as I believe we do, to request to see a doctor outside our area.

I live in the far west of Cornwall and Derriford Hospital in Plymouth is still considered to be within area. I got myself referred to an NHS endo there who I had heard was willing to prescribe T3 with T4.

This was in Dec last year, and sure enough he was quite happy to do this..... not only that, but he told me that ALL of the endos there would now prescribe T3 with T4. I only have his word on that of course, but that's what he told me.

Furthermore....when I had trouble with the T3/T4 combo (I was only on 20mcg T3) I emailed him and came off it quite quickly (too quickly maybe), and told him about Paul R's book I was reading, and asked if I could try T3 only. He discharged me, but wrote to my GP to say that it was OK as far as he was concerned, and therefore my GP agreed to try me on it.

If you would like the endo's details, just drop me a pm.
