Carbimazole and HRT

How does HRT affect Carbimazole use? And how would it affect test results please?

I have been trying to find out if Carbimazole interacts with HRT, and I can find no information which suggests this. The only information is from a US pharmacy site where the name for this medication is Neo Mercazole:

"Several medications interact with Neo-Mercazole tablets 5mg and should either not be taken while you are taking Neo-Mercazole or only after discussion and instruction from your doctor:

Drugs that cause a serious reaction with Neo-Mercazole:

agranulocytosis inducing drugs.

Drugs that are affected by Neo-Mercazole:

vitamin K-dependant anticoagulants, theophylline for asthma"

But you really need to talk to your GP about this so that he can make certain that it is OK.

I've been ok on them both up until now, but it was more about how the HRT would affect the thyroid, and then the test results. Sorry, I sometimes read my questions back and wonder how anyone can decipher what I mean!

I have found out that oestrogen works as a antithyroid therefore I may need to drop my dose of Carbimazole a tad.
