4 days ago my Thyroxine was reduced from 175mcg to 150mcg and I'm feeling awful. Is this because I'm having withdrawal symptons ? Has anybody else ever experienced this?

Have I got withdrawal symptoms?
Hi I had same problem when told to drop my thyroxine from 100 to75 because my T3 level was low after 2weeks I felt awful so dr agreed I could go back to 100 feel better energy wise but still ache all over as I have done for years.I am determined to get to the bottom of T3problem and why my body is not converting T4to T3. Having blood test in two weeks.Great to talk to people who have same problem when I had TT I was told once I was on thyroxine I would be fine not so!
Hope you get sorted soon keep smiling!
I don't think they are withdrawal symptoms in the strict sense of the word, because Thyroxine isn't a drug.
What you are actually suffering from is probably under-treatment. You've gone hypo again.
Hugs, Grey
I found that whenever my dose has been reduced, I felt dreadful rather quickly - so much for the long half life of levothyroxine! I have fortunately been steadily increasing my dose now, and I sort of feel that if it goes up, it can never come down again. Why was it reduced in the first place?
Hi ejh1,
I'm like you. When my dose was cut within 2 hours I had double vision, sweating, weakness, nausea and feeling drunk. I have never thought I actually store Levo.
